ENVIRONMENT & SHAMANISM

ENVIRONMENT & SHAMANISM

The association will receive Corine Sombrun, author, shaman & ethnomusicologist from the 14th to the 19th of January, 2012.

She will host a conference on January 16th at 6pm at the catholic parish hall in Gustavia  on the theme: “Environment and shamanism”

The maintenance of harmony between humans and their environment has always been the foundation of shamanic teachings. Through techniques of trance, the shaman’s role has indeed come into contact and receive information from that environment, to restore a harmonious relationship with him.

Recognized by the shamans of Mongolia as one of their eight years and formed the rituals and trance techniques, Corine Sombrun is now the source of a scientific study showing the impact of shamanic trance (induced the will) on the behavior of the brain.

The conference, supported on the latest research findings in neuroscience, will highlight how these techniques, increasing the perception of reality, could be in all of us, a being more aware, connected and therefore more respectful of its environment. A hope and a path toward human exploration of the future?
