WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT ST BARTH HISTORY ? Buy Georges Bourdin’s book!

Written in the late 1970s by French illustrator/author Georges Bourdin, who moved to the island after WWII, “The History Of Saint Barthélemy” traces the island’s history from the days of its first inhabitants as far back as 1100 through the present time.

Published in the late 70s at the initiative of Porter Henry, the book sold out quickly and was never republished. However, William von Mueffling, a major donor and the official patron of our association for 2013, decided to re-publish this reference book on the island’s heritage.

Originally printed in one bi-lingual edition, the book has been republished in two separate volumes: French and English. The association is the exclusive distributor of the book on the island, and thanks to the generosity of von Mueffling, the proceeds from its sale go entirely to St Barth Essentiel.

If you would like to purchase a copy (20 euros + shipping fees), please send an email to stbarthessentiel@yahoo.fr. The book is also available in all St Barth libraries.
